Description

A journey that brings together the most captivating aspects of Peru: the living history of Lima and its colonial treasures, the enigmas of the Nazca Lines seen from the sky, and the natural beauty of Paracas, where marine life and coastal landscapes reveal a unique ecosystem.

The adventure continues in Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire, where ancient temples, vibrant plazas, and artisan neighborhoods showcase the essence of a culture that remains intact. The imposing fortresses surrounding the city, along with the landscapes of the Sacred Valley, reveal the ingenuity of the Incas in places like Chinchero, Moray, and Ollantaytambo—settings that combine tradition, spirituality, and breathtaking architecture.

The journey culminates with a visit to Machu Picchu, a wonder that stirs the soul with its energy and perfection. Nestled among mountains and clouds, this sanctuary offers the perfect ending to an experience that blends history, mysticism, nature, and a profound connection to the Andean heritage.

DAY 01 WELCOME TO LIMA, CITY OF KINGS AND LARCO MUSEUM OF CULTURES

Arrival in Lima, welcome and assistance with your transfer to the hotel.

An exclusive and immersive tour of Lima's Historic Center will allow us to discover and admire the architectural relics that form part of this ancient Lima, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Convent of Santo Domingo marks the beginning of this magnificent experience. Built during the founding of Lima, it was within this complex that the National University of San Marcos, the oldest in the Americas, was founded. Inside, the choir boasts the oldest choir stalls in the country, and the library, with 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century, holds invaluable historical significance. The remains of Saint Martin de Porres, Saint John Macias, and Saint Rose of Lima lie within its walls. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, past the Government Palace and the City Hall, we will enter the Cathedral, a jewel of Lima's history, with works of art that will transport us back to colonial Lima. We will leave the city center and head to the Larco Museum, where we will gain a clear understanding of the cultures that inhabited ancient Peru. We will be amazed by the gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics that are part of the collection, which will introduce us to the worldview of the ancient Peruvians. The museum's storage area will be open during our visit so we can appreciate the artistic expressions they created on their ceramics. Overnight stay.
